As a UX Researcher at Ably, you’ll be responsible for delivering actionable customer insight across the business, working closely with cross-functional partners in Experience Design, Product Management, Engineering, Product Marketing, and Data & Analytics. You’ll help us to uncover foundational knowledge about our customers, driving impact through discovering and solving for user goals, needs and pain points—all whilst championing a user-centric mindset throughout the organization.
Play a key role in the product development process by helping teams to identify and understand relevant goals, opportunities, audience and approach.
Communicate the meaning and consequence of insights in a clear and actionable way, making recommendations that help teams to move forward.
Design a process for consistently recruiting, scheduling and incentivising research participants to create a healthy pipeline of user input and feedback.
Combine qualitative and quantitative data to build a more complete picture of users and their behavior in partnership with the Data & Analytics team.
Play a key role in strategy and roadmap development, contributing foundational user insight and clear recommendations to deliver user value.
Practice lean user research methods to help teams de-risk and move quickly, consistently breaking research problems down into smaller ones.
Experience with a broad range of qualitative and quantitative methods for conducting generative and evaluative research.
Expertise in conducting end-to-end research studies, including planning, recruitment, execution, analysis and reporting.
Experience working in agile environments and practicing lean user research methods to deliver continuous insights quickly.
Knowledge about technical products and/or developer tools, and have experience conducting research related to them.
Experience working in cross-functional teams alongside design, product management, product marketing and engineering.
Created and/or managed processes for the recruiting, scheduling and incentivizing of user research participants.
